Partnership with Roosevelt University

In 2021, CMC entered into partnership with Roosevelt University. Through this partnership, CMC provdes technique classes to RU students to supplement their education. CMC’s mission includes outreach and engagement with the greater Chicago dance community. We are proud to be able to fulfill this aspect of our mission through this partnership. Classes are offered exclusively to RU students.


Meet the Faculty

Christopher Kelley

Musical Theater Jazz
Ballet

Christopher Kelley started his dance training with the Chicago Multicultural Dance Center under Homer Hans Bryant. Soon after, he continued on to college at the University of Cincinnati, College- Conservatory of Music earning a degree in Music Theatre. Performing credits include: The Lyric Opera of Chicago (Fiddler on the Roof, La Fille Du Regiment), The MUNY (Gypsy), The Paramount Theatre (Billy Elliot, The Wizard of Oz, The Producers, Newsies, Beauty and The Beast, Kinky Boots, Cinderella, Rock of Ages), Drury Lane (A Chorus Line), The Marriott (Gypsy), Porchlight Music Theatre (How to Succeed…), and 3 seasons as an Artist with The Chicago Repertory Ballet. In addition to teaching at CMC, Christopher has taught at Visceral, Gus Giordano, Wings Dance Center, and the Paramount school for the Arts.

Claire Logan

Hip Hop

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Claire Logan earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre from Indiana University. Upon graduating, she has worked regionally at theatres such as STAGES St. Louis and the John W. Engenmann theatre, as well as working in New York City at the Beacon Theatre with Randy Skinner. Her own craft has taken her towards contemporary dance, studying under Victor Quijada, Guy Nader, Mario Campos and others, and she loves to apply her knowledge of storytelling from musical theatre into abstract contemporary dance. She is delighted to share her original passion for musical theatre with the community at CMC.
