Catch CMC’s Assistant Director Jacinda Ratcliffe in First Floor Theater’s production Evanston Salt Costs Climbing at the Den Theatre running through June 14th.

Winters keep getting worse in Evanston, IL, where salt truck drivers Peter and Basil battle the ice and snow and pass the time with jokes and stories. But what’s with this creeping sense of dread? Is it because their boss Maiworm has noble visions of new green technology that would make their jobs obsolete? Or is there a more terrifying warning calling out from under these roads? At least they have each other, right?

Pulitzer Prize finalist and Succession writer Will Arbery (Plano, Heroes of the Fourth Turning), confronts humanity’s darkest fears with humor, warmth and the fortitude of municipal public servants in this play about climate and change.

A Gallery of Dances

Check out Claire Bataille Legacy Scholarship dancer Sidney Valdez in Darvin Dances’ production A Gallery of Dances.

A gallery is not just a place where art lives, it is a place where stories are brought to life through paint strokes, photos, and more. It is an experience that can change audience members perspectives, bring tears to their eyes or a smile to their face. “A Gallery of Dances” showcases many stories from embracing one’s queerness to the majesty of the Christmas Island Crab migration. There is a little sprinkle of something for everyone, promising a delightful evening that you cannot miss. This performance has been generously subsidized through Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble’s artist’s support and residency program. The choreography is by Mariah Eastman and Mandy Milligan.
